PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a shape of a chamber to hasten start for using a siphon in a drainage system of instruments using water conducting large amount of drainage at a time. SOLUTION: In this siphon drainage system composed of the instruments using water and siphon drainage pipe 4 connected with them and provided with the chamber 5B between the instruments using water and the siphon drainage pipe 4, the chamber is constituted in such a way that the siphon drainage pipe 4 is connected with bottom part of the chamber 5B and an area of a horizontal cross section extending upward from a connection section of the chamber is gradually or stepwisely increased. To explain concretely, the bottom part of the chamber has a boat shape 6. In the figure, the siphone drainage pipe 4, the chamber 5B, the bottom portion (boat shape) of the chamber 6, partitions 7 and 8, air pipe 9, siphone starting head Hp, and sectioned chambers (a) and (b) are shown.
