A plasma display device is provided to reduce discharge spot at a discharge by reducing an energy recovery time when a display region is more than a predetermined size. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel(100), and plural energy recovery circuits(200) recovering and supplying energy from the plasma display panel. A switch(300) selects any one of the energy recovery circuits. Each of the energy recovery circuits has inductors(L1,L2) forming a resonance circuit together with a capacitance of the panel. A capacitance of the inductors is different from each other. The switch selects the energy recovery circuit having an inductor of the minimum capacitance if a display region is more than a predetermined size.
