<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a visible area through a rear side monitor according to a driver's predilection. <P>SOLUTION: A driving support device 1 is equipped with an external camera 13 which is provided on a vehicle and can photograph a predetermined area of the outside of the vehicle, and a monitor 15 for visibly displaying a video image picked up by the external camera 13 to the driver of the vehicle.
