PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head stack assembly, and a hard disk drive( HDD) including the same, reducing both off-track due to disk vibration and off-track due to suspension bending. SOLUTION: The head stack assembly is provided with a swing arm attached rotatably to a base member of the HDD, a connection plate attached to an edge part of the swing arm, and a plurality of coupling parts coupled to the connection plate, a suspension in which the coupling part relatively close to the disk center of the HDD among a plurality of coupling parts is coupled to the connection plate at a lower position than the coupling part relatively further from the center of the disk, and a head slider which is mounted at the edge part of the suspension and which is a recording/reading medium of data, in the suspension, a side-rail is formed at only one side of the suspension relatively further from the center of the disk so that both sides of the suspension have asymmetrical stiffness based on the center line of the suspension.
