A digital TV and a method for displaying EPG(Electric Program Guide) information in the digital TV are provided to process a TV image signal and EPG information through separate signal lines, thereby displaying an EPG picture as well as a TV image on a screen. A tuner(200) receives a digital broadcast signal. A decoder(230) processes a TV image signal and EPG information of the digital broadcast signal through separate signal lines to construct a TV image and an EPG picture respectively. An image signal processor(240) performs a PBP(Picture-By-Picture) process to separate a display screen of a display unit into a main screen and a sub-screen, and displays the TV image and the EPG information through the main screen and the sub-screen respectively.
