OBJECT DETECTOR, OBJECT DETECTION METHOD, AND PROGRAM FOR OBJECT DETECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detector, an object detection method, and a program for object detection for quickly detecting an object by reducing computational complexity.

SOLUTION: This object detector 1 is configured to retrieve the whole region of an object image acquired by imaging a road ahead through a retrieval window in object detection processing, and to collate an image in the retrieval window with a dictionary in which pedestrians are modeled, and to create a histogram by counting the detected horizontal directions with respect to a road plane, and to detect the unimodal distribution from the shape of the created histogram, and to detect the pedestrians.
