<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inorganic hardened article which has not only a sufficient moisture absorbing/emitting property, but also a high strength, is excellent in processability, and in addition, is hard to generate warpage or bending and so forth at the time of manufacture, and enables a molded article or the like being excellent in planarity to be prepared. <P>SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the inorganic hardened article comprises three processes. In the first process, a plurality of mixture layers consisting of a mixture are laid while dehydrating the mixture by the paper making method. In this case, the mixture consists of 100 pts.wt. of an inorganic powder containing a silicic anhydride lime compound and a calcium silicate hydrate, 80 to 500 pts.wt. of a porous material of which the major component is a silicate compound, pulp of the rate of 2 to 20 pts.wt. to the total of 100 pts.wt. of the inorganic powder and the silicate compound and water. In the second process, a laminate for which the plurality of layers consisting of the mixture are laid is shaped in such a manner that the water content may become 10 to 30 wt.%, and the plate-form molded article is prepared.
