The plug connector has a component (5) which is connected by a screw thread (3) with housing (1). The component has a rest plate (6) with a contact surface, where the rest plate exceeds over the extent of the housing. The housing has a lateral flange (4) with another contact surface (54), exceeding over the extent of the housing. A distance between the two contact surfaces is reduced on the basis of a mounting position into an end position through rotation of the component over the screw thread. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an arrangement with a wall and an opening, through which the plug connector protrudes (2) a method for mounting a plug connector in an opening of a wall.
