A device for treatment of mitral annulus dilation comprising an elongate body (8') formed by a solid wire in the shape of an open U-shaped ring adapted to engage the wall of a coronary sinus (5) most adjacent to the mitral valve annulus when inserted into the coronary sinus; the elongate body consisting of a memory metal material which will bend when reverting to its original shape.
