PRINTER AND PRINTING METHOD USING THE PRINTER

A printer and a printing method are provided to prevent impurities between a doctor blade and a Gravure roll, prevent eccentric abrasion of a knife and induce more detail operation of the knife of the doctor blade on a color resist by shaking the doctor blade at certain periods on the Gravure roll, thereby improving stability of a printing process. A Gravure roll(11) transfers a color resist to an outside of a blanket roll for printing the color resist on the surface of a substrate. A doctor blade(13) removes a part of the color resists covered on the outside of the Gravure roll. A blade shading unit(20) is coupled with the doctor blade and shakes the doctor blade along a length direction of the Gravure roll. The blade shading unit comprises a linear movement unit(21), a rotation driving unit(25) and a movement converting unit. The linear movement unit supports and linearly moves the doctor blade. The rotation driving unit generates rotation power. The movement converting unit converts rotation movement of the rotation driving unit into linear movement of the linear movement unit.
