<p>A briquette using stainless steelmaking by-products is provided to be able to increase initial strength as well as long-term strength of the briquette although a raw material mixture for the briquette has a water content when manufacturing the briquette using stainless steelmaking by-products with a high water content, and a method of producing the briquette is provided. A briquette using stainless steelmaking by-products is manufactured by adding a binder mixed with ladle slag into 100% by weight of a raw material mixture of the stainless steelmaking by-products, the raw material mixture of the stainless steelmaking by-products being prepared by mixing sludge, iron oxide and scale with an electric arc furnace dust obtained by aging the hydrated stainless steelmaking dust or the water-added stainless steelmaking dust after hydrating stainless steelmaking dust through a hydrator or adding water into the stainless steelmaking dust. A method of producing a briquette using stainless steelmaking by-products comprises the steps of: preparing a raw material mixture of the stainless steelmaking by-products by mixing sludge, iron oxide and scale with an electric arc furnace dust obtained by aging the hydrated stainless steelmaking dust or the water-added stainless steelmaking dust after hydrating stainless steelmaking dust through a hydrator or adding water into the stainless steelmaking dust; adding 8 to 15 wt.% of molasses and 5 to 10 wt.% of ladle slag into 100 wt.% of the raw material mixture of the stainless steelmaking by-products to mix the molasses and the ladle slag with the raw material mixture of the stainless steelmaking by-products; and manufacturing a briquette using the raw material mixture by an ordinary method.</p> |
