<p>A method for reproducing a message of a mobile terminal in real time and a mobile terminal are provided to allow a recipient mobile terminal to check contents of a multimedia message transmitted from an origination mobile terminal without deleting a stored media file. A wireless transmitting/receiving unit(210) receives a notification message indicating arrival of a particular message from a server. A data processing unit(230) checks whether the particular message is available for a real time streaming with reference to a particular field of the notification message. If the particular message is available for a real time streaming, a controller generates a response message including the particular field having information regarding a streaming reception mode of a mobile terminal and transmits it to the server via the wireless transmitting/receiving unit. A buffer temporarily stores a media file received in real time according to a set transmission level from the server. A display unit reproduces the temporarily stored media file and displays the same.</p> |
