A portable terminal having a neck wearable-type earphone is provided to fix or separate an earphone to or from a main body conveniently with minimum components and to improve the beauty of the external appearance by separating an earphone from a main body without leaving any component at the main body. A portable terminal comprises a main body(100), an earphone, and a fixing unit(300). The main body(100) has a mounting part which is formed as the edge of the upper part of the main body(100) is partially incised. At the inner wall of the mounting part, a connection part(120) is formed so as to be connected with various kinds of external devices. The earphone comprises a necklace(210), a mounting member(230), and a connection part(240). An electrical wire is buried in the necklace(210). A speaker to output sound information is installed a certain location of the necklace(210). The mounting member(230) is mounted at the mounting part of the main body(100). The connection part(240), capable of being electrically connected with the main body(100), is installed correspondingly with the connection part(120) of the main body(100). The fixing unit(300) consists of an insertion recess(310) and an insertion protrusion(320). The insertion recess(310) is formed at the top of the mounting part so that the earphone can be fixed to the main body(100) as the connection parts(120,240) get connected to each other. The insertion protrusion(320), corresponding to the insertion recess(310), is formed at the mounting member(230).
