A rubber composition for a tire inner liner is provided to improve air penetration resistance characteristics without the deterioration of other physical properties. A rubber composition for a tire inner liner comprises 10-40 parts by weight of the talc having a high density platy structure based on 100 parts by weight of a rubber material, wherein the talc having a high density platy structure has an average particle size of 1.0±2.0 micrometers and a BET specific surface area of 22±2 m^2/g. Preferably the rubber material comprises a halobutyl rubber and a natural rubber in a ratio of 90:10 to 80:20 by weight. |
