The assembly to hold a swing flap, on a horizontal swing axis, has an even quadrilateral scissors joint with swing arms (8.1,9.1,10.1,11.1) and a spring (18) to dampen the swing movements. The stretch section of the spring passes around an anchor (7) e.g. as a plastics ring in the joint frame (1) with a diameter as a multiple of the spring diameter. The spring is attached to the swing arms at mounting points (16,17) to give different lever actions. The swing arms of the joint work with additional arms (10,11) linked together in parallel. |
