FIELD: mechanical engineering; pipe production. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of devices for assembling tubular blanks consisting two half-cylinders for welding. Device contains chain pusher, bed frame on which fixed knife and rotary crescent-shaped levers are secured. Levers are provided with guide rollers, pressure mechanisms and fixed stop secured on one end of each crescent-shaped lever. Knife is fastened on truck of chain pusher. Fixed knife is made in form of bow-shaped side guides with slots for inserts in which rollers are fitted at equal pitch in staggered order forming two parallel planes equidistant from device axis by side surfaces. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of welded joint owing to elimination of defects formed at contact of lower edges of blank with surface of knife installed on bed frame at feeding of blank to welding mill. ^ 5 dwg
