COLORED EXTERNAL PREPARATION FOR SKIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for stabilizing color of a colored aromatic quinone derivative by formulation without relying on an additive ingredient such as EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) or BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene). SOLUTION: An external preparation for skin is obtained by including (1) the colored aromatic quinone derivative and (2) hydroquinone or a derivative thereof. The colored aromatic quinone derivative is preferably represented by structural formula (1) and shikonin is especially preferred. The hydroquinone derivative is preferably a glucoside of the hydroquinone and/or a salt thereof. The external preparation for skin is preferably an emulsified cosmetic. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
