The method involves determining the graph structure (G-1,G-2,G-3) of a Bayesian network with multiple variables from the qualitative information and a parameter set. The parameters of the parameter set are conditioned probabilities, which is the probability of a value of a variable under the condition of predetermined values for the other variable. A model class of Bayesian networks and the value ranges for the parameter and one or more quantitative forecasting are determined through the networks of the model class. An independent claim is also included for a computer program product which has a machine readable carrier on a stored program code.
