<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable wherein working efficiency can be improved, in particular, working efficiency is not degraded even in an adverse environment, for example, on a wall face in proximity to a ceiling or on a ceiling face. <P>SOLUTION: The stable 10 for holding an electric wire 1 includes a staple body 20 having: a pair of needle-shaped portions 22, 22 having respective tips 26, 26 formed in needle shapes and so formed that they are substantially in parallel with each other; and a bridge 32 bridging the other end 24 of one 22 of the needle-shaped portions and the other end 24 of the other 22 of the needle-shaped portions and formed in a U shape. The staple 10 is provided with an electric wire holding portion 60 that holds an electric wire 1 so that the electric wire 1 is disposed between the one needle-shaped portion 22 and the other needle-shaped portion 22.
