<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check program capable of directing proper use of agricultural chemicals in accordance with a positive list system which prohibits, as a general rule, merchandising etc. of foods in which agricultural chemicals remain in excess of a predetermined level. <P>SOLUTION: In the program, input of a crop name and agricultural-chemicals name is received, and based on the input agricultural-chemicals name, ingredient substance contained in the agricultural chemicals is determined, referring to a database of all agricultural chemicals, the data base storing data about agricultural chemicals distributed to the domestic market. Based on thus determined ingredient substance name and the input crop name, it is determined whether use of the agricultural chemicals is to be permitted referring to the positive list and the use standards of the agricultural chemicals regulation law. In addition to this structure, it is determined whether use of agricultural chemicals is to be permitted referring to the positive list and the use standard of the agricultural chemicals regulation law, taking into account crop names in neighboring farms in addition to the ingredient substance name and the crop name in the object farm.
