PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor for a cooker capable of detecting accurately a temperature of a bottom part of a cooking tool and the mount of the cooking tool, by simple constitution. SOLUTION: An upper edge part of a cylindrical part 45 in a movable cylindrical body 35, and an upper face of a thermosensitive part 14, go down while the both abut to a bottom face of the cooking tool, when the cooking tool is mounted in an upper side of the sensor 1 for the cooker, because the movable cylindrical body 35 and the thermosensitive part 14 of a temperature sensor 10 are elevated independently. A microswitch 30 fixed in a lower part of the movable cylindrical body 35 detects therein the mount of the cooking tool. An influence by radiation heat from a burner positioned in the periphery of the sensor 1 for the cooker is reduced because the temperature sensor 10 is covered by the bottom face of the cooking tool and the cylindrical part 45. The movable cylindrical body 35 is moved guidedly along a vertical direction by a support column part 11 inserted into a guide hole 44 of a guide member 42 and U-shaped insertion holes 5, 5 of a fixed plate 2, and is thereby moved smoothly.
