PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying a pesticide while saving the application labor compared with soil-mixing treatment of dust formulation and having high safety to the environment and the application worker. SOLUTION: The method of applying a pesticide is characterized by pouring or spraying an aqueous solution or an aqueous dispersion of the active ingredient of the pesticide onto a crop seedling-raising area before fixing the seedlings. It is preferable to pour or spray the aqueous solution or the aqueous dispersion of the active ingredient of the pesticide in an amount of 20-2,100 mL, in particular, 20-1,600 mL, per 100 seedlings.
