PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing the generation of abnormal images or others caused by curls or kinks by a separation pad of a paper supplying section. SOLUTION: In the image forming device having the paper supplying section 10 separating and conveying a recording medium P by means of a paper supplying roller 12 and the separation pad 13, an electrostatic attracting belt 3 attracting/conveying the recording media P supplied from the paper supplying section 10, a recording head 4 discharging droplets and writing an image onto the recording medium P during being attracted/conveyed by the electrostatic attracting belt 3, and a control means controlling a series of image forming movement from paper supplying to paper discharging, the control means discharges without writing in the recording medium P supplied prior to image forming by the recording head 4 in the case the conveying interval of the recording media P exceeds a predetermined time.
