PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of effectively executing rinsing without damaging a water saving effect even when washing water remains at the bottom part of a washing tub. SOLUTION: The dishwasher includes a water level detection means capable of detecting a plurality of levels of water supplied into the washing tub, and by repeating water supply and discharge, one or more rinsing processes are executed after a washing process using a detergent. When supplying the water in the washing process, the water supply time required for supplying the water from a first water level detected in the water level detection means to a second water level higher than the first water level detected in the water level detection means is timed, and a prescribed coefficient is multiplied with the water supply time to calculate the supplementary water supply time. At the end of the washing process or a part or all of one rinsing process, the water is discharged to a level lower than the first water level, then the water is supplied supplementarily for the supplementary water supply time and then the water is discharged.
