<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which has a reflective display function to display an image with excellent display quality. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, and is characterized by having a reflection pattern RP composed of a plurality of projecting portions CP protruding from a substrate principal surface, which are regularly arranged, on respective pixels, wherein each of the projecting portions CP has a shape with a long axis in the plane of the substrate principal surface, and a first reflection pattern RP1 in the first pixel PX1 is different from a second reflection pattern RP2 in the second pixel PX2 adjacent to the first pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
