A selectively herbicidal composition which, in addition to comprising formulation adjuvants, such as carriers, solvents and surface-active substances, comprises as active ingredient a mixture of a) a herbicidally effective amount of at least one HPPD inhibitor herbicide b) a compound of formula (II), wherein R is hydrogen or C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>6</SUB>alkyl; and Y<SUB>1</SUB> and Y<SUB>2</SUB> independently from each other, are hydroxy or (C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>6</SUB>alkylcarbonyloxy; and agronomically acceptable salts of these compounds. |
