<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite magnetic core which has superior direct current superposition characteristics, proper magnetic characteristics with respect to stresses, and little variations in the magnetic permeability, in particular, and which is capable of obtaining stable inductance, and to provide an electronic component that uses this. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a ferrite magnetic core that uses a compound magnetic substance comprising the first phase of ferrite containing Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, NiO (a part thereof may be substituted with CuO), and ZnO as major components and a second phase consisting of nonmagnetic ceramics. The core contains 2.5-25 wt.% of nonmagnetic ceramics, relative to the main components. In the core, an average ferrite crystal grain diameter is 0.3-2 μm, the linear expansion coefficient for nonmagnetic ceramics is smaller than the linear expansion coefficient for ferrite, and the linear expansion coefficient of the compound magnetic substance is 6-10 ppm/°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
