PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fluoropolymer aqueous dispersion, by which the fluoropolymer aqueous dispersion excellent in dispersion stability and mechanical stability can be produced in a high yield, even when contacted with an anion exchange resin. SOLUTION: The method for producing a fluoropolymer aqueous dispersion, including a process for contacting a crude fluoropolymer aqueous dispersion with an anion exchange resin, is characterized by adding a nonionic surfactant and a nonionic water-soluble polymer to the crude fluoropolymer aqueous dispersion before the process.
