PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect bent paper money just after the bent paper money is fed out when the bent paper money is fed out from a money paying part. SOLUTION: When paper money 23 having a bent part 23a having a high possibility of causing a paper money jam in a paper money carrying path is fed out from a money receiving and paying part 1, one bent part 23 of left and right sides of the paper money 23 collides with an end face 21b downstream in the direction of carrying paper money of a recessed part 21 for dropping paper money to be tilted just after the paper money 23 is fed out. A sensor 22 arranged downstream in the recessed part 21 detects that the paper money 23 is tilted or monitors a paper money arrival time to the sensor 22 to detect the paper money.
