<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which has compatibility between suppression of occurrence of offset and suppression of a circulation belt wear. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a first fixing section including: a first circulation belt; a first heat roll disposed opposite the first circulation belt; and a first belt support with a first projection supporting, from inside, a part of the first circulation belt, corresponding to the entrance of the nip area, and causing first predetermined nip pressure to occur between the supported part of the first circulation belt and the first heat roll, and supports the first circulation belt so that it freely circulates. The image forming apparatus also has a second fixing section including: a second circulation belt; a second heat roll disposed opposite to the second circulation belt; and a second belt support with a second projection supporting, from inside, a part of the second circulation belt, corresponding to the entrance of the nip area of the second circulation belt, and causing second predetermined nip pressure higher than the first one to occur between the supported part of the second circulation belt and the second heat roll, and supports the second circulation belt so that it freely circulates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
