PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collecting and arranging method for band requests in a relay station capable of reducing overhead of management for the band requests in a base station BS, in a high-speed wireless access system to which IEEE 802.16 is applied. SOLUTION: A relay station receives a plurality of band requests from a plurality of mobile stations. Then, the relay station generates one band request including a total value of a desired bandwidth contained in the band requests as a desired bandwidth of the relay station. An extended sub-header is added to a MAC header. The extended sub-header includes the desired bandwidth of the relay station, a desired bandwidth, and a connection identifier of a mobile station. The desired bandwidth and the connection identifier are described for each mobile station having a same desired bandwidth. The generated band request is transmitted to the base station.
