PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive capable of improving head positioning accuracy during data recording in a disk drive especially having a disk medium of a discrete track medium (DTM) structure. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a control processing unit 30 for executing, when positioning control is carried out to set a write head on-track in a designated data track during data recording, the positioning control according to a recording target offset amount calculated by adding together a first offset amount dependent on a skew angle and a second offset amount set for each servo sector.
