PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible printed wiring board for which components can be easily mounted, a manufacturing method thereof and a method of easily mounting electronic components on the flexible wiring board. SOLUTION: The flexible printed wiring board includes a flexible printed wiring board 1 as a product and a metallic reinforcing portion 3 disposed on the periphery of the flexible printed wiring board 1. In the flexible printed wiring board, the reinforcing portion is formed so that its contour is almost rectangular, and at least any one of a folded or groove-like recess is formed on at least opposite two sides.
