PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a display period in a display unit according to a status associated with an information processing device. SOLUTION: A digital cellular phone with a camera that can be used as an information processing device functions in steps S1 to S11: that is, a liquid crystal display displays display data; a main control unit acquires a status detection signal representing a status associated with the digital cellular phone with a camera; a memory unit stores an acceleration-display period correspondence table in which a status associated with the digital cellular phone with a camera and a display period in the liquid crystal display are preliminarily associated with each other and registered; the main control unit changes the display period in the liquid crystal display by referring the stored table and based on the acquired status detection signal; and the liquid crystal display displays the display data in the changed display period.
