The invention is a favored position globe. The globe includes a stand, a frame having an inside radius slightly larger than a radius of a cross-section of the globe, the globe having an interior, and also having a magnetically responsive material secured to a location on the globe, and proximate to a second magnetically responsive material, such that the sphere has a single predictable orientation when at rest. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure.
