At a predetermined time, a mobile phone ( 101 ) having a function for receiving broadcasts as an alarm starts receiving a broadcast from a set broadcast station ( 104 ). When a receiving sensitivity of the set broadcast station ( 104 ) is weak, the mobile phone ( 101 ) acquires a self-position of using a GPS etc., reads a zone correspondence broadcast station table ( 300 ) stored in the mobile phone ( 101 ), receives a broadcast from another broadcast station ( 105 ) in a zone corresponding to the self-position, and outputs a broadcast having a stronger receiving sensitivity instead of the broadcast from the set broadcast station ( 104 ), thereby achieving an alarm function.
