PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic switch 1 in which an oscillation of an electromagnetic coil 5 can be prevented surely and for over a long period, and in which down-sizing and reducing cost are possible. SOLUTION: In the electromagnetic coil 5, movement in the axial direction is suppressed by an oscillation stopping member 10. That oscillation stopping member 10 is integrally installed with a packing 12 made of rubber, and inserted into a through hole 6c formed in a disc part 6b of a stationary iron core 6. This oscillation stopping member 10 is installed having a little longer length than that of the through hole 6c, and the tip part inserted into the through hole 6c is slightly protruded toward the coil side of the disc part 6b and presses the electromagnetic coil 5 toward the axial direction. By this, the electromagnetic coil 5 is elastically retained in a state pressed to the bottom 4a of the switch case 4 by the elastic force of the oscillation stopping member 10. In the above constitution, since the oscillation stopping member 10 has been integrated with the packing 12, number of parts can be made less, and manufacturing cost can be suppressed low.
