Provided is a liquid crystal display panel capable of making a display with its display face being curved, and preventing an optical leakage properly through the gaps of pixel electrodes. The liquid crystal display panel (1) comprises an active matrix substrate (20) having the pixel electrodes (51), an opposed substrate (10) having a common electrode (11) for making potential differences between itself and the individual pixel electrodes (51), a liquid crystal layer (30) clamped between the individual substrates (10, 20) for controlling the transmitting state of the light in accordance with the potential differences, and a black matrix (41) for preventing the optical leakage through the gaps of the individual pixel electrodes (51). The black matrix (41) is formed at the active matrix substrate (20) on the side of the liquid crystal layer (30).
