PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently restore data even when restoration of the data is tried in some restoration points. SOLUTION: The storage device to be connected with a host device comprises a storage part having various logical volumes, and a control part controlling I/O processing with the storage part. The control part stores journal data for data volumes in a journal volume, and stores snapshot data for data volumes in a snapshot volume. The control part applies, according to a restoration request with a designated restoration point, the snapshot data stored in the snapshot volume and further applies the journal data stored in the journal volume to restore a data volume at the restoration point.
