THERMOPLASTIC FOAMABLE RESIN MATERIAL, FOAMED MOLDING, AND STRUCTURAL BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a strange sound from being cause by the friction between a channel-forming member made of a foamed resin for forming a channel of air in an air-adjusting apparatus and a metal fitting for fitting the member. SOLUTION: A channel-forming member is prepd. from a thermoplastic foamable resin material prepd. by mixing 100 wt.% thermoplastic foamable resin with 1-10 wt.% stearic acid compd. A test specimen is taken from the member, and the frictional force at the surface of the specimen is measured, giving the results shown in the table. It was found that the frictional force can be reduced by at least 0.3 kg and at most 1.4 kg in comparison with a conventional member (standard 3).
