SYSTEM FOR SENDING/RECEIVING MAIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for allowing aged or physically handicapped persons to send or receive mail at home safely and certainly and make an emergency call to emergency facilities such as a fire station or a police station and to a specific person such as a family member or the like safely and certainly.

SOLUTION: A house is installed with an outdoor mailbox for sending/receiving mail and an indoor controller capable of communicating therewith by a wireless communicating means, and a post office is provided with a communicating terminal for receiving electronic mails transmitted from the controller. The content of an electronic mail is a combination of personal information necessary for collecting mails and an optional message of a definite form. The controller is provided with push-button switches corresponding to emergency contact numbers such as those of a fire station, a police station and the like, which button switches are pushed to send them an electronic mail composed of the personal information and the optional message of a fixed form.
