A telephone system is provided to sense whether a user is absent, and to notify the user of call reception if the user is absent while notifying of the call reception as vibration if the user exists, so that other people are not disturbed by an unnecessary bell sound. A sensor(30) senses whether a user is absent. A vibrator(40) outputs vibration. A sound output unit(20) outputs sound. While a telephone signal is detected, a controller(10) controls so that the vibrator(40) outputs the vibration if existence of the user is sensed by the sensor(30), and controls so that the sound output unit(20) outputs the sound if absence of the user is sensed by the sensor(30). |
