<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous motor controller which can stabilize the operation of a synchronous motor with a favorable response regardless of an abrupt decrease of a power voltage. <P>SOLUTION: An amount ΔV of the drop of a power voltage Vb in a preceding specified period (S107) is calculated, and an amount ΔId' of the correction of a first d-axis current proportionate to the ΔV (S110) is calculated, and this amount ΔId' of the correction of the first d-axis current is added to a d-axis current command Id' (S114).
