PURPOSE: A switch track ball mouse of a portable computer is provided to reduce the cost of material, improve productivity, and execute a wanted track ball and switch function by simplifying a configuration and an assembling process. CONSTITUTION: A track ball(48) is mounted in a guiding hole(50) formed in a main body. Position sensing sensors(52,54) are operated by being contacted with the track ball(48) for sensing a moved coordinate of a cursor according as the track ball(48) is rotated. A switch(58) is located at the lower portion of the track ball(48) and operated according as a pressure is loaded in the track ball(48). A spring(60) is located between the track ball(48) and the switch(58). The spring(60) supports the lower portion of the track ball(48) for not contacting the track ball(48) with the switch(58). The position sensing sensors(52,54) are attached to the upper portion of the outer surface of the track ball(48).
