PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Web system which requires less time and money for the development and maintenance of applications and reduces the leakage of information. SOLUTION: A content server 30 stores a screen layout file 34, which defines the layout of a screen, and an operation instruction file 36 which is correlated with the screen layout file 34 and describes an operation for taking out necessary information from a database. An application server 10 is provided with a processing device 12 and a database 14 which accumulates data. The processing device 12 acquires the screen layout file 34 and the operation instruction file 36 from the content server 30 in response to instructions from a client-side browser, correlates these files with each other, reads out necessary data from the database 14, and then transmits the data to the client 20 side.
