摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a VOC monitoring system and method capable of certainly detecting volatile organic compound (VOC) generated in printing, in a printer having a plurality of ink units for multiple color printing. SOLUTION: This VOC monitoring system is disposed in printers P1-P3 having a plurality of printing units U1-U4 and an exhaust line B for exhausting air from each printing unit to the outside through branch lines A1-A4. The VOC monitoring system comprises a sampling line L connected with each of the branch lines A1-A4 and the exhaust line B, a main branch valve V0 for controlling the exhaust from the exhaust line B to the sampling line L, first to fourth branch valves V1-V4 for controlling the exhaust from respective branch lines A1-A4 to the sampling line L, and a VOC measuring device 1 that is connected with the sampling line L and measures the VOC amount.
