A toll collection apparatus and a toll collection system using the same are provided to reduce the loss in collecting tolls by exactly separating non-standard coins from the input coins if one of size, thickness, and materials of the coin is different. A toll collection apparatus(200) comprises an aligning member(210) arranging input coins; a supply member(220) installed at the lower part of the aligning member to supply the coins arranged in the aligning member; a sorting member(230) having a transfer path for transmitting the coins fed from the supply member and sorting out standard coins by separating the non-standard coins; a count member(250) for counting the standard coins sorted in the sorting member; and a control unit for calculating the sum of the standard coins counted by the count member and opening a gate if the calculated sum corresponds to a toll. |
