<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UPnP content directory service synchronizing method and its device. <P>SOLUTION: The method of synchronizing the content directory services of a UPnP device comprises (a) a step of sensing that the contents of the UPnP device are updated, (b) a step of generating an event message including information relating to the updating, and (c) a step of multicasting the generated event message to a UPnP network. Thus, a control point is not intervened in the process of synchronizing the plurality of content directory services, so that a load on the memory of the control point or a CPU can be reduced as compared with the case of conventional UPnP technology.
