A method for manufacturing a wire rod rolling roll is provided to further extend the life of the roll by predicting wear shape of a roll, designing roll groove using information on the roll wear shape, thereby improving the life reduction of the roll due to wear of the roll. A method for manufacturing a wire rod rolling roll comprises the steps of: obtaining separating points(CR,CRy) respectively from an upper groove and a lower groove; obtaining a wear curvature radius after wearing(rhoround) from the upper groove and the lower groove; obtaining a difference(br) between a wear shape reference point and an initial groove reference point; obtaining a maximum wear depth(WdepthR) using the obtained separating points(CR,CRy), wear curvature radius after wearing(rhoround), and difference(br); obtaining a maximum height(RobjectR) of a target roll groove shape using a relation between a maximum depth(WobjectR) of a target roll groove shape in the upper and lower grooves and the predicted maximum wear depth(WdepthR); compensating the wear amount in the upper and lower grooves; and manufacturing upper and lower rolling rolls such that the upper and lower rolling rolls have the compensated grooves.
