Transmission of messages in a telecommunications network

The method involves receiving an envelope of a message in a message broker (2), of a telecommunication network. Address information e.g. mobile radio telephone number such as mobile subscriber- integrated services digital network (ISDN) number, of a mobile terminal (3) is determined based on the envelope. The address information is requested by the message broker from a storage area of a storage manager (4). The information is communicated from the message broker to the terminal. The envelope is transmitted from the message broker.
